Mollie Thorn James is the executive director of the Bruce Irons Camp Fund. She joined the BICF team as a volunteer in early 2012 before moving into the position of executive director in June of 2012. Mollie came to BICF after a successful 17-year legal career and brought a wealth of community involvement and non-profit experience to the executive director role. Mollie enjoyed the tremendous benefits of the summer camp experience as a camper and camp counselor herself and is passionate about extending those benefits to low-income students in the Charlotte area.

Libby Velinsky is the development director of the Bruce Irons Camp Fund. Libby joined BICF in 2019 with 13 years’ experience in public relations, events planning, and sales/sales management in the fashion and textiles industries in New York. A native of Chapel Hill, Ms. Velinsky made a deliberate shift into the non-profit sector with this role, as she felt passionately about bringing her relationship-building skills to a position that would work on behalf of Charlotte’s underserved youth.

Heather Griffith is the executive assistant for the Bruce Irons Camp Fund. She joined the BICF team as a volunteer along with her husband, serving as mentors in 2015 before moving into the position of executive assistant in 2019. She brings years of executive assistant experience both professionally and from her service on local non-profit boards and committees. She is passionate about the mission of BICF and is excited to be a part of this growing organization. When not supporting the staff at BICF, she is busy raising her two daughters and spending time with her family.
