The Bruce Irons Camp Fund partners with Communities in Schools (CIS) to select deserving students to enter our program. CIS is the nation’s largest and most effective dropout prevention organization, helping young people stay in school, successfully learn, and prepare for life by connecting community resources with public schools.
BICF staff works closely with CIS coordinators in our partner schools when choosing campers. The role of a CIS coordinator is to link teachers, families, and students to various services provided in the community.
